The Market

Wireless broadband connectivity has become the major area of investment for both incumbent and emergent mobile operators and will grow significantly in the coming years. The desire to be connected at any given time and place requires large investments in radio and network resources. Radio spectrum is a valuable but a scarce and highly expensive resource driving wireless operators to continually seek solutions to increase their co-located capacity and to increase the utilization of their available network resources. A number of “traditional” technologies are available to achieve this goal but they are limited by the inherent interference characteristics of radio systems and tend to be highly costly (e.g. cell-splitting) for the marginal benefit delivered. To date, the only solution introduced to address the increased co-located capacity need is based on "smart antenna" technology. Nevertheless, due to significant hardware requirements, high cost and the physical size of the antenna site, smart antenna solutions are rarely used.

Pallasium's technology was developed to address the need for increased co-located capacity, at much lower cost using standard antenna sites.
This breakthrough technology adds extensive value both to the operator and the OEM infrastructure vendor. It will deliver a three-fold increase in capacity per cell site whilst eliminating the need for increased quantities of antennas per site and reducing the overall number of deployed sites per network.
